Answered by Perse - Tue Feb 23 23:55:21 2010 Is my 2 1/2 year old son too young to be a ringbearer? Q. My dear niece wants both my 4 1/2 year old and my 2 1/2 year old in her formal wedding. Do I risk upsetting her now by saying no, or do I go with the flow and possibly ruin her big day when the 2 1/2 year old has a meltdown? Asked by Kathleen M - Wed Jun 14 21:39:18 2006 - - 14 Answers - 0 Comments A. Including one's children in one's wedding ceremony is so charming that we should strive to find ways to do this. Perhaps they can have some role in which they walk down the aisle and each side of some older person (say, age 11 to 80), one with the ring and one with something else -- the other ring? a bible? -- perform their roles fairly quickly, and take their places sitting in a front pew, along with this older person. If a child has a "meltdown", then between the other child and the older person, they will manage to handle the situation and get ring to the alter. Answered by kill_yr_television - Wed Jun 14 22:07:27 2006 Is 10 and 11 too young to be a junior bridesmaid and groomsman for a wedding?
Q. I am getting married next year and I want my little brother to be in the wedding but he will be eleven which is kind of old to be a ringbearer but rather young to be a groomsman. I also promised my fiancee's cousin she could be in the wedding (two years ago) but she will be ten and kind of in the middle too. So should I have them be junior bridesmaid and groomsman or just an older flower girl and ring bearer?? Any input is appreciated!!! If your close with them, it'l help your bond, and it'll show the people that you want to be family oriented. Its not too young. And a great idea.
