Euthanasia is commonly known as mercy killing.Under this, a terminally ill patient ,with his/her consent or with the consent of relatives (if the person cannot take a decission on his own due to some reasons), is allowed to die with the help of a physician.In most of the countries,it is unlawful. santhara is a religious Jain fast.Under this,a person goes on infinite fast,till eventually death comes.Recently in India,2 women tried to do this.
