I need a full and detailed meaning of wedding traditions, or maybe a site where I can find them? Q. I'll be a toastmaster in a wedding, but I have no idea what the following wedding traditions, signify, such as slicing of the cake, drinking of wine, tossing of buoquet and garter, releasing of doves, and the like. I am thinking of composing some narrations so that each tradition will be appreciated as to why is it done during weddings...any body knows a link where I can find the meaning of these traditions or its significance? I have a 5 yr old rescue mare who apparantly never was handled much prior to whan I acquired her a year ago.In this time I have easily taught her to tie/stand still,let her feet be handled daily,lunge,ride with a saddle and be bridl;ed with the bit easily. She does have some issues with bit pressure which I work at the walk and trot with pressure and quick release but she still tosses her head some. She is backing up readily so I guess she is getting better. My question is how do you teach a horse to canter? She moves very awkardly on the lungeline as if she doesn't know how to move properly and it takes alot of encouragement. Teach her on a lunge. Just kiss to her and push her to canter, over and over and over. Untill she does it right off the bat. Once she starts getting it on the lunge try it under the saddle.
