What does Colorado do to have the lowest obesity rate in the US?
Q. Obesity rates in the states are climbing. Colorado's rate is also growing but yet they still maintain the lowest obese rate in the whole United States. What is this due to?

A. Fresh air that encourages people to go outside and be active, instead of stuck in the suburbs or inside their country homes due to nasty weather. That's my opinion. But look at this website.. it explains some of the main factors.

Where is a Southern Colorado location to take spectacular landscape photos?
Q. I am hoping there are some experienced landscape photographers who have knowledge of Southern Colorado and have some recommendations of awesome places to take some photos. Preferably easy access and inexpensive locations. What I meant by inexpensive: I wanted to go to the royal gorge but it cost my family of 3 $55.00 just to enter the park.

A. Hi! I have lived in Colorado for six years now and you picked a really great state to look for amazing shots! :D First of all, I am definitly not a proffesional photographer because I am only 14 hahaha, but I have taken a couple that you may want to look at to see some of how it is here these may not be exactly what you are looking for, but those pictures don't show the mountains lol These were taken in Fountain Sooo, anyway I think that a beautiful place to go in Colorado to take pics is Fountain. It is a little farm town, but not everywhere, it has a old downtown and stuff:))

When do I start calling Cubline after filing an Colorado unemployment claim?
Q. I just filed for my claim 3 days ago and received the preliminary info from Colorado yesterday but there's no info in what I received on when to start calling Cubline. The Colorado unemploment help line is ALWAYS busy. Will I be receiving more info from Colorado on how to do this and should just be patient? Thank you!

A. I imagine you have to wait until your claim is approved and you are granted benefits - that could take a couple of weeks. In Penna, you also do NOT get benefits the first week-it's called a awaiting week- don;t know if Colo has the same

A. I live in Colorado and have done a lot of hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. If you'll be camping there, you should definitely get out onto the trails and do some hiking, otherwise you'll be missing out on some really nice scenery. Many of the trails go to waterfalls and lakes, and they are all worth the hike. Alberta Falls is a nice one which is easy to get to and the hike is only a little over a half mile. Calypso Cascades and Ouzel Falls are also considered very nice and they're both on the same trail. Of the lake hikes in the park, Cub Lake is a good one, and so is Mills Lake. Dream Lake is another one and is very popular. And yet another one I like is Loch Vale. As you see, there are plenty of trails in the park :-). Anyway, if… [cont.]

What are the laws in Colorado regarding carrying a holstered pistol unconcealed?
Q. What are the laws in Colorado regarding carrying a holstered pistol unconcealed? This is hard info to find... but i was wondering if anyone knew if you could carry a holster openly without a CCW permit.
Asked by ares424 - Mon May 19 03:16:02 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Yes, you can, with a number of confusing exceptions with harsh penalties if you run afoul of them. For instance, you board a bus while openly carrying your handgun. If the gun is unloaded you are fine. If the gun is LOADED, you just committed a felony. There are several other restrictions. You had better know them all before carrying openly. Even if you are legal, you should expect to be stopped by about every police officer who see you and who will want to know why you are carrying a gun.

A. The eviction notice should have the terms in it. If you've gotten one, I suggest you start packing. I lived in Colorado Springs for seven years, and it's a pretty strict place, thanks to all the Fundie Christians. Trust me - you can do better; try Denver or Fort Collins.

What part of Colorado would be best to vacation at?
Q. Me and my girlfriend are planning on taking a vacation to Colorado in late June. We would really like to rent a nice cozy cabin for a few nights and do a few things during the days. We both want to go white water rafting and we also want to rent a jeep and tour the old ghost towns. We would like to stay away from the very expensive places like Aspen or Vail. We are coming from the Texas panhandle and would like to stay around Central Colorado instead of way north or west. Thank you for your help.

A. if you are going to be learning to ski, dont spend $400 on a ticket, you wil be on the kiddie hill, for a MAX of 6 hours a day. its just not worth it.as a local, i reccomend Ski Cooper, it is a small hill with 2 chairlifts, a poma, kiddie hill, green and blue runs, and almost no tourists, it is off the beaten path, yet easy to get to. only 15 minutes from historic leadville, and 25 minutes from Vail, ski cooper is great! tickets run for about $30. or, ski lessons, rental and lift ticket will run you $50-$60 as opposed to around $300 for lesson and rental alone. hope i helped!!! aspen is more like 4.5 hours from denver. less like 2. and its more expensive then vail.

Does my Colorado LLC have to file taxes if we did no business or made no money last year?
Q. A group of friends and I established a LLC in Colorado at the end of last year, that we intend to "use" this year. We are getting into the Real Estate investing business and were getting everything set up before we start. My question is simple. Since we didn't do any buying or selling, and as such, didn't make any money as a company, do we have to file taxes on anything?
Asked by hbc_momo - Mon Apr 7 03:13:47 2008 - - 1 Answers - 2 Comments
A. A multi-member LLC is treated as a Partnership at the Federal level. You must file a Form 1065 Partnership tax return every year that the partnership is in existence. If you're on a calendar year, that was due on March 15th by the way so you're late. There is an $85 penalty per month per general partner for late filing, so get moving on it to avoid additional penalties! At the state level, LLCs are usually treated as corporations with all of the corporate filing requirements including tax returns and often other reports as well. Many states also impose minimum franchise fees on corps regardless of profit or loss or even total lack of any business activity. I'd suggest that you consult with a local expert on small business tax issues,… [cont.]

Im looking to rent a wedding dress in Colorado, any suggestions on where to start?
Q. My fiance and I are paying for our wedding by ourselves so we are on a budget. I live in Colorado. Does anyone know of any bridal salons, other places or designers that have wedding dresses for rent? Any info is appreciated

A. Have you considered buying used instead of renting? Often times buying used is cheaper than renting a dress. (Not to mention the fact that there is a larger selection and you don't have to stress about anything spilling on the dress all night :) Try - they have (literally) thousands of wedding dresses- starting as low as $100.

What are Colorado laws regarding living with your girlfriend?
Q. I'm dating a girl who just recently had a newborn baby, and am curious about any Colorado laws regarding this situation and if we move in together? Am I responsible for the child and support if we broke up? After 6 months, can she really have title to half of my stuff? Thanks!

A. If the child is not yours, then you are not responsible for support in any way, in any state. Since she is only a "friend" she cannot get half your stuff unless you marry. What's yours is yours, until you say "I do" then it's hers.

A. wear pants and a lightweight shirt of some time. the airplane will be plenty cool. take a carry on bag with a heavier shirt and jacket packed inside. Take any kind of snack food you want... but know that they sell plenty of food in the airport.
