Where should I hire a wedding consultant?
Q. For the past year, my fiance and I thought we had our wedding plans all figured out on our own, but now that it's 8 months away, recent circumstances have changed everything! We now want to get married in the town we got engaged in, which is about 2 hours away from where we live. Since I'm finishing up grad school, I don't have the time to plan an entire wedding from scratch by May, so we'll definitely need to hire a wedding coordinator. My question is, should we look for one here in the town where we live, or one in the town where our ceremony/reception will be held? Please help! =)

A. If you've already booked your reception, talk to someone there about if they offer coordination services for an additional charge. If they don't, ask if they can recommend someone they have worked with more than once in the past. If you haven't booked your reception, then do a google search for wedding coordinators in the city where you're planning the wedding (or the nearest larger city if it's a small town). If it's a popular destination wedding spot, there should be no shortage of people who coordinate weddings. do not hire someone without interviewing them and getting references.
